MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This sweet and spirited adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew is a romantic comedy about a feisty sex toy sales party organizer named Tammy (Sarah-Jane Redmond) who is happily single, much to her ailing father's dismay. When she moves home to take care of old man Burt (Gary Chalk), he takes advantage of the opportunity to set her up with an ideal marriage candidate--the VP at his company. Unfortunately (for Tammy's dad anyway), the VP is more interested in her openly gay brother Tristan. Tristan has also struggled to get his dad's approval in a different way: his current boyfriend Lucas just isn't deemed good enough to gain Burt's acceptance.

As Burt becomes increasingly eager to get his way, he declares that no one can date his son until his daughter is dating someone. In order to win Burt's approval to date Tristan, Lucas schemes to set Tammy up with the ruggedly handsome ex-boxing champ Sy (Aleks Paunovic). Sy is easily bribed into pursuing Tammy when Lucas offers him a chance to perform his original--and much loathed--songs at the local bar. And so the fighter's entertaining battle to win Tammy's affection begins. But, is he tough enough to take on Tammy?

Director Tracy D. Smith's first feature is witty and engaging, filled with clever scenarios, and some fabulously terrible song lyrics that you'll love to hate.
